The Joint Commission Accredited BPSI ambulatory surgical center is located at 600 Hart Road in Barrington.

Since opening its doors on October 2, 2012, and performing thousands of interventional pain and spine procedures, BPSI is pleased to be able to provide its patients and community a full range of care from conservative treatments to minimally invasive surgery; to best correct the underlying cause of painful conditions and now orthopedic and podiatric surgical conditions.

The Barrington Pain and Spine Institute is proud to be the leading provider of pain treatment in the Chicago area. John Prunskis, MD., FIPP., who is the only physician from Illinois that was selected and confirmed to serve as an Advisor/ Member of the Health and Human Services (HHS) Best Practices Pain Management Task Force, and Terri Dallas-Prunskis, MD are also medical directors of Illinois Pain Institute (IPI). Our physicians are widely recognized and have been the recipients of multiple prestigious awards for their outstanding expertise in diagnosing and treating the source of pain not just masking the symptoms. Awards that have been received by our physicians include: Nine-time winner of Castle Connolly’s Top Pain Doctor Award, Chicagoland’s leading and longest established, multi-site pain management practice, Top 70 pain physicians in the nation by Becker’s ASC Review, US News and World Report Top Doctor. Each of the IPI clinics is staffed with top doctors and a compassionate care team. The goal of every medical approach at IPI and BPSI is the precise diagnosis of the underlying source of an individual’s pain to alleviate discomfort and allow patients to return to their activities of daily living.
