Julia Edwards

Julia Edwards is a Certified Physician Assistant working at Illinois Pain & Spine Institute. Originally from St. Charles, IL, Julia has long-since been committed to serving the Chicagoland area, volunteering and taking on leadership roles in several organizations that provide communities in need with access to food and primary healthcare services. She obtained her undergraduate degree in biochemistry and chemistry at the University of Chicago and her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Prior to medical school, Julia worked as a Clinical Research Manager at Northwestern University, conducting clinical trials for patients with low back pain, knee pain and fibromyalgia.

Julia worked as a Hospitalist for several years in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and joined Illinois Pain & Spine Institute in 2023, where she now applies her knowledge of internal medicine and pain medicine to treat patients with pain holistically. Julia is an empathetic listener who is passionate about getting individuals back to doing the things that give them joy as soon as possible. In her free time Julia enjoys gardening, composting, cooking, traveling, and spending time with loved ones, including her cat Zoe.
