Dr. Bellinger is a Fellowship trained Pain Management Physician at the Illinois Pain Institute. She has a passion to accurately diagnose and treat the cause of patients in pain in order to restore the highest level of functioning and quality of life possible. The treatment is highly personalized. She focuses on the latest treatment options for the following conditions:
Back and neck pain, disc herniations, sciatica, musculoskeletal pain, joint pains, nerve related pains/CRPS, polyneuropathies, headaches and cancer pain. Dr. Bellinger performs injections for effective pain relief, including epidural steroid injections, knee and shoulder injections, muscular injections, radiofrequency lesioning for facet joints, spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, including “Stimwave.”
Dr. Bellinger went to Medical School in Germany at the prestigious Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg and at the Witten/Herdecke University. She completed an Anesthesia Residency and Pain Fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Prior to coming to Illinois, she had a shared position at the Pain Clinic at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and at the Pain Clinic in the VA in Iowa City. Dr. Bellinger taught over several years interventional pain management injection techniques for other physicians at Annual Meetings of the American Society of Anesthesiology and American Society for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management. She was a Pain Board Question writer for the American Society of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Bellinger is an active member of the American Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Germany Pain Society and the Illinois State Medical Society.
