Welcome to the Itasca office of Illinois Pain Institute. The types of problems we often diagnose and treat include persistent, complex pain from medical conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, pelvic pain, and chronic headaches. The spine is an intricate structure of irregularly shaped bones, and it is also composed of joints, ligaments, muscles, and nerves. Spinal disease is a major cause of chronic pain, and it can affect movement and functionality. According to the American Medical Association, chronic back pain affects around 10% of the general population.
Our mission focuses on the treatment of chronic pain, and our Itasca Illinois Pain center is staffed with physicians who have graduated from top-notch schools. To better serve you, and treat your chronic condition, our pain medicine staff includes nurses, counselors, and doctors who have specialty training and certification in the field of pain management.
Your treatment team strives to get to the root of your problem and develops a plan to get you back to normal daily activities. We treat chronic pain using interventional measures, which involves offering nonsurgical options such as epidural steroid injections, spinal cord stimulation, and nerve blocks. In addition to medication therapy, we focus on physical therapy and alternative measures to reduce disability, ease pain, and improve function.
